"Life in Germany is extremely safe, efficient and stable, as you would find in the states."

I think this line in the article is completely wrong. Life in America is NOT all that safe, especially near the border or in many cities. I don't find it very efficient here either, and as for stability, lately it seems like the whole country is about to implode.

Moving to someplace in Europe, be it Germany, Croatia, the Czech Republic, or elsewhere, is looking more and more attractive.

Germany is too tax-laden and expensive to visit. Aside from driving on the autobahn and the castles, the cities, the architecture, Germany is very expensive.

The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia are much cheaper alternatives, with most of the trimmings of Germany, but without the colossal price tag.

Plus, those people are much friendlier!
