Hey Thanks for the info.

I currently live in Melbourne but I would like to move to Bali.

I work in the Oil and Gas Industry and actually work on rotation from New Zealand.... so I can live anywhere really. One reason I would like to move to Bali is to avoid the high tax rate I would pay in Australia (even though I spend more than half the year away and work in NZ).

If I permanently move to Bali, I do not have to pay Australian Tax. My question is that if I live in Bali but spend more than half the year away, am I required to pay tax in Bali?

Thanks,
Matt.
